Feluna Sinyolwa (44) lives in Sikabwe Village which is part of the Nampongo Community in Kazungula District and is married to a gentleman named Enoch Nene. Feluna has six children who are all in school though she has been struggling with her business and had difficulty paying school fees for her children before the mandate for free education by the Government.

When the Self-Help Group (SHG) concept was first introduced in the area, Feluna became encouraged and joined a group called Nguzu Mali where she began to save money. After five years, she was able to build a house from her vegetable selling business. She would grow and harvest vegetables that she would sell in Livingstone. The farming season of 2019 did not yield good results and as such, Feluna got a loan of K3,500 from the group and bought bags of maize from the Food Reserve Agency which she sold to her local community members. From her sales, she was able to pay back the loan, pay school fees (before the free education mandate), and also bought two oxen. When the farming season started, her family managed to cultivate large fields and she now has a large quantity of maize that she sells to the big milling companies.

During the period when Covid-19 was at its peak, she started selling sewing masks which allowed her to generate more income.
