That time again

Twice a year, we are honored with the opportunity to host some staff from our partner organization Academic Work of Sweden and that time came on March 16th, 17th and 19th. These visits are always special and leave us with memories that we can cherish for all time but this visit was particularly special because AW co-founder, Jeremias Anderson was also in attendance. The group arrived with their faces wreathed in smiles at RN offices early morning on the 16th. Everyone went around the table introducing themselves and RN staff also introduced themselves.

As is the custom, the group were going to travel into the field to visit some of the schools their generous support has established. Tour leaders for this trip were field coordinator, Biemba Mubanga and Disability and Buildings Facilitator Caleb Chabauni. Our Youth Sport Exchange Program (YSEP) volunteer, Henry Edvardsen went along for the trip as well. They travelled to Tusime community school, Namudimba community school and camped overnight at Makumba community school. The visitors were split into groups and sent to go mingle with their host families where they got to experience life in a village setting for a little while.

On the 19th the visitors got to interact with the girls their support enables to attend school and attain an education. The sponsorship girls aka the Kubala Girls. They mingled at a Barbeque which as you can judge from the pictures below, was great fun. Check out the pictures below and view more pictures and video on our instagram page: response_network. Don’t forget to follow us. That’s all for now, have a good one!
