Response Network’s 10 Year Anniversary was a hit all round. The event was graced by not one Deputy Minister but two! Namely, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture as well as the Deputy Minister of Livestock. We also had quite a number of chiefs present as well as District Commissioners and other governmental bodies. Our visitors from SMISO Norway were also in attendance and were seen to be having a fantastic time.

There were performances from JUDO club and a hilarious sketch done by a drama group. We were also treated to a song from one of our Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) counterparts which she composed especially for the anniversary. It was a time to reflect on our past achievements at RN and also time to appreciate the fact that reaching 10 years in any capacity is no small feat. There were speeches, there was entertainment, refreshments were flowing and the buffet was a popular feature. There was dancing, there was cake (my personal favorite part) and no celebration would be complete without some champagne popping right.

All around i reckon it was a day/night that will remain in our heads and hearts for quite some time and here’s to another 10 years!
