FREDSKORPSET – YOUTH SPORTS EXCHANGE PROGRAM 2013/2014 NORTH TO SOUTH VOLUNTEERS IDA SEIM & MORTEN BID FAREWELL

They say whatever goes up must always come down and Friday, the 30th of May, 2014 was a day of mixed feelings as Ida and Morten – the two Norwegian volunteers’ time had come to say bye to Response Network and host families including the beneficiaries of their programmes. The law of gravity had to apply as their ten (10) months stay in Zambia had come to an end. Their stay in Zambia was described as marvelous and stunning and the two volunteers admitted that they will definitely miss their host families and the people they worked closely with. This can be equated to an English saying which says that ”he who tastes honey can never go back to sugar” and this proved true for the young volunteers who would rather stay on in Zambia. Dances and jokes characterized their farewell and as an organization we wish u a safe trip back to Norway and all the best in your future endeavors.
